The Anti-Yogi Show
Are you ready for the Goddess’s blessings? Or her wrath? Yoga instructor Mayuri Bhandari fuses spirituality, pop-culture, and eco-feminism in this movement to reclaim yoga's roots. A must-see satire with a sold-out run for all 51 past performances.
Time & Location
Nov 21, 2026, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
The Hazeltine Theater, 208 N Marina St, Prescott, AZ 86301, USA
About the event
“Inhale, love... Aaaxhale, compassion.... Namastaaay.”
This is the world that yoga professor Mayuri knows well: skinny women in
spandex, turmeric lattes, incense. It’s absurd, especially as the only South Asian Indian in a practice rooted in her own heritage.
Join Mayuri and the Goddess of Death, Kali, as they take on wellness capitalism, spiritual theft, and the Yoga Industrial Complex.
Liberation, Not Lululemon!
Through a dynamic blend of dance, dramedy, multimedia, poetry, and live percussion by Ravi Deo, THE ANTI “YOGI” is more than an immersive experience, it’s a movement. Reclaiming yoga’s voice - decolonization, eco feminism, and social justice - through satire, wit, and a lot of humor.
